Ashley

As a birth doula, sibling doula, and professional nanny, Ashley is extremely qualified to provide on-call sibling support services during the birth of your family's newest member!  When Ashley isn’t attending a birth or nannying, she is a professional classical singer who has sung across the United States and in Europe, Mexico, and the Caribbean. She has sung with several professional choral groups in the Twin Cities and sings regularly at The Basilica, St. Olaf, and Holy Cross. Ashley lives in Minneapolis with her husband, Erik. The pair have been together since high school. Their favorite hobbies include over-dressing for every occasion, trying to get a word in edgewise at family events, and laughing until tears stream down their cheeks.

Jordan

Children have been a large part of my life starting at a young age. I am an older sister of five – essentially I was what my mom called a “built-in” babysitter! Once I turned 16, I worked as a swim instructor for kids ages 2-15 for 4 years. I’ve been a babysitter for other families since the age of 12. I recently updated my CPR and first aid certification and received my Personal Care Assistant certification last May. Previously I worked in a group home setting as a Direct Support Staff for four males ages 30-75. I recently graduated with degrees in Biology and Public Health from Hamline University and plan to attend a Physician Assistant graduate program.

Evana

My name is Evana, and I am a certified birth doula through DONA International. I worked as an informal educator with children, ages infant to 18, for over 6 years before becoming a birth doula. I believe that all families should have access to the guidance they desire. Being a birth and sibling doula lets me be with a family during some of the most intimate moments of their lives. Informal education can be as important, if not more, than formal education: it’s the day-to-day information and lessons that we get to enjoy and learn from. My favorite thing to teach others about is spirituality in nature; learning to look around and see what is already there to learn from is very powerful. I look forward to helping children understand how their new little sibling is entering this world!
